Play "Pranks" on other MyCorkboard Users

Pranks are great fun and very easy to do. MyCorkboard automatically scans your network looking for other MyCorkboard users. All you have to do is choose a victim, pick a prank, and fire away. Pranks are enabled by default, but can be disabled via a property sheet checkbox. If you want to send pranks, you must also be willing to receive. You know the rules. Let the games begin...

Here are just some of our existing pranks:

• Throw an Egg
• Throw a rotten tomato
• Send a bomb toting goblin
• Send Flowers
• Throw a water baloon
• Blow up the screen
• and more...

Playing pranks begins by starting the prank wizard found on the primary right-click menu. When you right click anywhere on your MyCorkboard background the pop-up menu shown below is displayed. Choose "Play a Prank..."

The first wizard page will display a list of potential victims. MyCorkboard will scan your local area network looking for other MyCorkboard users. Choose your victim by clicking on their name in the tree-view window, then choose Next.

The list of pranks available for your victim will be displayed as shown below. The contents of this list are dependent upon which pranks that specific user has installed.

The final wizard page shows a sample representation of the victim's screen. Note that this is not an actual real-time snapshot. Choose the screen location for the prank by clicking withing the thumbnail with your mouse. An X will be displayed to mark your position. Finally, press Finish and wait for certain retaliation.

The initial MyCorkboard download includes only a couple basic pranks. If you want access to the really cool pranks, you'll need to sign up for our premium subscription content.
